This is awesome. Went and seen Dan Deacon Last night and my word did it live up to my amazingly high expectations. Been listening to his album spiderman of the rings constantly. Accidently bumped into a video on youtube after having another inspiring last.fm recommendation. Thankyou last. The only way I can describe this gig is imagine some weird primary school music lesson based on trippy electronic equipment and your teacher was eddie izzard. Fun Fun Fun was had. Silly dancing was had by all. He didn’t bother with the stage just put a table in the middle genius. His equipment was equally as bizzare which apparently he just finds. loved it. loved it. Went with richie who i think actually loved it more than christmas. Great gig awesome night out topped only with a scooby snack on the way home. Magic.
I went out last night…the bulk of today has been a struggle for food. Salt and vinegar crips and cans of fizzy pop mostly. So I thought I would make something spectacular for my T…Amazing. One massive steak, One huge rustic ciabata with most of the bread removed and toasted, massive flat cap mushrooms, big chunks of onion and some bbq gravy I made from the dregs of various condiments lying at the back of the fridge. I AM MAN!
This weekend I decided to take it a bit easy as for the last few months it’s been non-stop. So what better way to unwind than to go out with £5 and go charity shopping. And what a beauty I found, knockout for £2 brilliant. Always wanted that game but never got round to it. £2 well spent, all in working order. Also for my remaining £3 I got a mini wizard which I think just about everybody had…it also works perfectly and the box was mint…Love It!
Sunday night seen me back in the Arches. This weekend I’ve nearly spent longer in the arches than my own house….MAGIC. Last night it was Caribou. Been a fan for a long time, they used to be called Manitoba. It’s weird kind of psychadelic music…right up my street. Was intrested to see how they were going to do it live as it sounded so weird on the album. Lead singer stepped up for some serious drumming. Was amazing. Their full time drummer never broke sweat once despite constantly being mid solo…An amazing gig. They’re supporting the GO Team later this month…might go. Well worth a look in.
Chances are you don’t know this man…I can only wish that one day you do. This Is Thomas, he is french. He hosted my last holiday in France. This weekend he joined us In Bristol. It was Very Exciting. This weekend He delivered something very special…very special…not drugs :). This weekend he brought me palet which by the way I am very good at. The problem was finding it in this country. But alas Thomas delivered…So this is a big Thomas thankyou/shrine…Enjoy it with me by watching me beat Sam in the palet finals.
What a Fantastic weekend I Had. Mainly in part once again due to the genius of Facebook. A random weekend of Bristol Banter was on the cards thanks to Dave Macleod and all that live at number 14 for their Hospitality. Highlights Included Frisbee in the park with summer like weather, Dancing on a Barge, Sitting on the dock of the Bay, Bath, Operation and Cider. There are many many more hilarious things i could mention but i’m Hoping Macca might fill them.
The Video Is from a little Day jaunt over to Bath….Bowls is Awesome!!!
I seen many beatiful places on my trip round france but this was up there as one of the huge amount of funny things that happened along the way.
Day 3 Parc Asterix. I love asterix and now love theme parks. Amazing detail everywhere loads of good gags littered around the park. So good i bought a t-shirt. Loved it. This ride was like a giant taboggan…had no rails. Two sit comfortably into a carriage. Most of the people on it were boy girl couples or just men on their own. Me and macca are comfortable with our sexuality…well now we are :).
Also on this ride it took a picture on the way down that everybody could see at the other end…needless to say ours was ragingly gay. Genius.
