Been listening to this alot recently…thought it would be worthy of a blog. The whitest boy alive love all the artwork, but more importantly are the awesome tunes. It’s one half of kings of Convenience which I also love but occasionally I find it a bit slow and boring, I guess so did Erlend Øye. Think kings of Convenience but with some funk rubbed on it.. Check it out. There’s a couple of albums out but I prefer the debut.
The land before time…oh it takes me back. I think they made about 6 sequels…never seen them.
All of this couldn’t be further up my street if it tried. Ridiculous music, Awesome animation and word games. Not seen them on TV…infact don’t think I’ve ever seen any scrabble ads on tv. This was done by wizz studio , crazy french 
Last minute weekend just passed. Been busy it’s taken me this long to get round to it. Loved it. Me, Macca and Jamie smith headed north after work on friday. destination…Aviemore. So much snow had fallen and Macca was itching to ski. I love the snow so needed no persuasion. On the we pulled into asda and purchased meat, beer and a tiny childs sledge…safety first. I took my xbox up (now fixed, woohoo) so friday we basically sat drank and played games while it continued to snow outside.
On saturday we all headed out with sledge for an adventure. I’ve never seen so much snow in Scotland…was awesome. We started off on a path which quickly disappeared, so just made the rest up as we went. Got some ace photos on the way…they’re all on flickr. It was here we came to rest to build a snowman. As you can see…snowmen are nowhere near as funny as a snow bobby.
Eventually we did end up in the middle of a builders yard stuck inbetween 8ft high fences…hilarious. Ended up in pub…well deserved cider…ahhhhhhh. Picked up all the skiing gear for following day. More games and beer. Helen shows up keen for skiing.
Sunday up bright and early…wasn’t even bright. Straight up to the cairngorms where it was a bit of a squeeze in the motor. Me and Jamie snowboarding…and the two ladies skiing. On the first train to the summit brilliant. Jamie smith never snowboarded before…I’m not far off but been a couple of times. Ran through the basics then discovered jamie smith was riding wrong foot forward…uh oh. Things got technical we had a screwdriver started taking things to bits…only for someone to walk past and show us the wee quick release handles that do the job we over complicated…ha. That was us. Straight down the slopes. Alot of high fiving. Big up Jamie Smith just biting the bullet. Day one…CONQUER THE MOUNTAIN. Was amazing fun, going to get back on the lessons I think but I LOVED IT. definately getting better. Still suffering a bit just now mind. muscles I never knew I had…but now I can hear them screaming. High five Macca for hosting…loved it.
About 2 hours of “work” speeded oop.
It’s official…look guiness says so. The world record for ferrero rocher eaten in a minute is 5. So last friday after a few pints it was decided that this was a laughably easy task. I thought I could have had it and had the instant disadvantage of going first. Colin Brown however just snuck a cheeky 6th one in the dying seconds. Dave just wanted to eat 5 ferrero rocher…genius
Last night my fellow work mate feli persuaded me to go see ladytron. Usual run of practice, out for pints and “go on, you know you want to” I don’t need much convincing. Seen them a few times before…but they were always just supporting. Had a wee listen to the new album and had to go really (It’s called Velocifero…go have a listen). I didn’t take my camera so had to settle for this off their new album. Like this track it’s a bit dr who…esque and hey the video has fit women with wolves…winner. The support was pretty bad…I can’t even remember their name.
Well what an adventure weekend I’ve had. Yesterday me and Lee went back to Loch winnoch for another spot of fishing. Not to be disappointed Lee took a disposable bbq…it wasn’t till later he admitted he had bought his own burgers…I was fishing for my dinner!. It was an absolute scorcher…even got sunburnt. Beer, BBQ, fishing and a monster pike….brilliant. Lee also caught one but it got away (better say that or he’ll go in a huff)
Oh and I did put it back and it swam off happy as an evil looking fish could…
I love toys…This phrase I will have to stop using…according to my blog stats alot of people end up here looking for “love toys”. Anyway my latest gadget is this: The Korg Kaossilater and my word is it alot of fun. To give it its proper title it’s a dynamic phrase synthesizer, but basically it has 100 built in sounds whcih are all controlled with a touchpad. But the clever thing is you can record and build up loads of layers to make some serious bonkers music. Great fun…Although the guy downstairs is a bit fed up of it. . I have this guy to thank too…the only reason I bought it. For all I Know he’s saying “don’t buy this it’s rubbish…fun for the first 20 minutes”.
Well it’s taken me ages…Been doing a bit of animation when I can at In evenings weekend etc. Just to keep on top of my game. It takes ages. This doesn’t even last 20 seconds! The total hours spent doing this has been about 9 hours. Been playing about with making music to. Just got a new computer so it’s all been fun and games over the past week. Fot this I just shot some video then took it into flash where I drew over each frame…rock on!
