I’ve been a busy bunny of late…probably too busy if i’m being honest. I get married 2 weeks tomorrow, I can’t wait…but have to so i’m dealing with it. Not been a great deal of blog activity for a while, been making so much stuff for the wedding but don’t want to ruin any surprises…so expect a blog splurge in a couple of weeks.

One thing I do always make time for is music, I’ve done nothing but sing spotifys praises but still haven’t bit the bullet and bought premium. I can’t keep up with all the music my ears want to listen to so i’ve made a little mission for myself…EVERYDAY make an effort to chuck any music that grabs my fancy into a playlist and At the end of the month draw up a cover for it and share it with anyone that will listen. I love finding great music and spotify is great for ending up on musical tangents. A couple of rules to self, no doublers one song by one artist per playlist. No genre restrictions just anything goes. It is a tad eclectic but there are also some great albums in there to.

The doodle was just a pen and ink scanned in then using fellow workmates (defmech) nifty little colour scheme generator colortoy, (which I just couldn’t do without) filled in using photoshop. I hardly ever get round to colouring stuff up so it makes a nice change. I’m going to hard sell colortoy cause it is awesome…Also he made it into a wee Iphone app which I recommend to, lots of new exciting things on his next update well worth the pennies.

So, I’ve rambled enough here is the playlist ENJOY…everyone loves music and I know there’s a big doodling/blogging/music loving community out there so if anyone wants to play this game…feel free, it’s only a bit of fun. Might make a Flickr Group. Also a bigger drawing up on Flickr.

Doodle-tastic. I had all of these. Still got most of them tucked away in my mum and dads loft. Had this doodle kicking about a while. Started off on paper…temporarily lost it, then resurrected it after I bought a nice shiny new portfolio a3 book to keep all my abandoned doodles in. Filled it in with colour in photoshop, quite like the result. Bit of shameless plugging here but for the colours I used fellow work mate daves colorToy™ app available for your Iphone.

I’d rather not stop and think how much over the years i’ve spent on video games. There were some real nasty controllers for some of them, worst probably being the orginal xbox controller, It was massive. My favourite would probably be the N64 one, It came along at just the right time. Nintendo always get it right…certainly where sega got it wrong.

Another great/potentially useless camera app for the Iphone, ZxCam. I love this I had a zx spectrum myself and always remember waiting for those painfull first few minutes for your game to load the loading graphics, and being in awe of the seven colours with 2 levels of brightness + black capabilities. Now some boffin has made a free app for your Iphone that takes your picture then allows you to convert it to those same spectrum graphics. I love it. It’s pretty basic…but so was my spectrum. Found this great wee app for iphone. One of the biggest draws of the iphone for me was it’s wee camera. I know alot of people say it’s rubbish…blah blah blah. but I was determined to find some good use for it. I found this great wee app called ToyCamera. Basically you take a picture and it ads 1 of 8 random filters to an image to make it look like it was taken with a retro camera. You can choose to switch off some of the ones you don’t like so it only ever does one. I really like the black and white ones it takes, but it does take some cool ones that either over saturate or undersaturate images. Available for £1.19 bits of bobs recommends.

Well i’ve only gone and done it. Been some silly busy months of stuff happening lately. Holidays , weddings etc. Now for the next few months have a relatively clear calender. So…I bought an iPhone…jump on the bandwagon I say. I love it. First thing to do. Remove all the rubbish it comes with then full it with games and nonsense. I thought I better buy some kind of protective case as I carry EVERYTHING in my pockets. I got an air jacket . just the job. I got a clear one as nic has a black iphone and I opted for a white one, just to save confusion. Makes no difference to me…however the cool thing is I managed to tuck some doodles in behind the case. Nothing worse than flashing a big apple logo about…problem solved. Also drew up some doodle wallpaper. It’s here if you want it.
