All of this couldn’t be further up my street if it tried. Ridiculous music, Awesome animation and word games. Not seen them on TV…infact don’t think I’ve ever seen any scrabble ads on tv. This was done by wizz studio , crazy french 🙂
Well pay day has come round again…not breaking tradition it was decided I was going to buy some more pens. A while back at dog we had an illustrator in to storyboard some ads and I was very envious of his pen collection (It happens, I’m not ashamed). So now the collection has stared I picked up a pack of Letraset Promarkers. They’re twin tipped with a fine point on one end and a monster thick one on the other. Initially I was a bit afraid to jump in at the deep end and go a bit mad with them. I’m not used to colouring in stuff…mostly through laziness and fear of spoiling the doodle, but these are awesome and really add to the finished thing. The pack I bought was this one. Thought it would be a good place to start and had a good range of colours. Going to head up to the artstore at lunch get some of the missing colours I want. Highly recommended…I love them.
Lego without a doubt, hands down my favourite toy growing up. Meccano was good but too fussy and just fell to bits. Favourite thing to make…had to be spaceships. Bigger one here.
Saturday, who knew Glasgow was going to be one of the sunniest places in the country? well…me and nic did 🙂 packed a huge pinic including my new camping stove…awesome. Balmaha beach was the destination nic loves it. Packed a blanket and some books…perfect, even went for a wee paddle. Nic has a new big fancy camera to so it was like a camera face off.
I’m at a bit of an advantage in that nic hates any kind of beastie…I LOVE THEM…I think they love me. Look at this little fella, it was massive and I heard it flying before I seen it. Have no idea what it is…anyone got an educated guess?
This disturbed me a bit on the way home last night. back of the glaswegian metro rag…full page advert. Who reads the paper then discovers there’s a sale on they just can’t resist. I know it’s a massive money making business…i’ve seen 6ft under 🙂 . I wonder how much business they get from this, or if people just phone up with enquiries…”hello, how many flowers can my FREE Flower Container contain?”. As for the showyard…I know they need to show off their products but the whole things a little weird. Imagine grave robbers stumbling on that one…”leave it boys…it’s a showyard”
Twas about that time again for another gig. This time the doves. I love the doves…never done a bad tune let alone had a bad album. The support was malakai. Me and ruth arrived silly early and grabbed a drink…in shock that most of the people there were pretty old and alot of them looked a bit like fat saunders…including some women. We had some good 90’s britpop banter…hurricane#1, warmjets and sleeper to name a few. We caught all of the support who were awful..in my opinion. Saved only by the fact the lead singer looke a little like chuck norris and some really drunk people had some comedy dancing.
I had given the new doves album a good going over on the build up to gig. I loves it. Still sounds like the doves but different enough to have a few suprises. Really like their new single kingdom of rust and there’s also a few awesome remixes kicking about including this one. Love the first track of the new album and they also had some cool visuals running in the background. All in all a great gig. They have so many awesome songs to choose from…This is still there best one though 🙂
