The whitest boy alive

Been listening to this alot recently…thought it would be worthy of a blog. The whitest boy alive love all the artwork, but more importantly are the awesome tunes. It’s one half of kings of Convenience which I also love but occasionally I find it a bit slow and boring, I guess so did Erlend Øye. Think kings of Convenience but with some funk rubbed on it.. Check it out. There’s a couple of albums out but I prefer the debut.

    Really like.

As I’ve been living under a rock for three years I’d never heard of this guy.

I’ve already gone to itunes and downloaded myself the album.

Any more recommendations? Any could be anything since Feb 2007.

You’re a star. 2 weeks ago I was in a bar in Rome and they were playing this. Stretching the limits of my pocket-sized ‘Speak Italian’ phrase book, I managed to ask (through a combination of pigeon-Italian, accidental Spanish and a lot of hand gestures) whether this was a new Kings of Convenience album. The bar maid – immediately reverting to near-perfect English – told me that she’d never heard of them but that this was ‘Boys Alive’.

Turns out that Boys Alive are some cheesy early 90’s US boy band. Not quite what I was after.

Delighted that you’ve found this – will definitely be downloading it tonight.

    Cheers,

    Paul
