meat feast on the beach!

What an awesome weekend I had. This weekend past seen the annual stonehaven feein market , a great exscuse to go home and see family and friends. I won’t bother explaing it all Macca has already covered it. For the sake of comedy i’ve cropped macca out of these photos insinuating he’s too tall…when infact he is in all of the photos…great gag. Good crowd back in stoney this year. Saunders gave me a lift up and macca gave me one back down…magic. We all headed down the road holding out for lunch…some big filthy burgers from the bbq stand. Then came decisions…burger…or hotdog…quickly we established we were having both.

From here a nice jaunty walk along the beach, round the harbour to the marine where saunders joined us and macca and christerry somehow didn’t know that you can untie your shoelaces with one easy pull…see results below…

I had to put maccas face in this one because it was shear disbeleif

Then to putting. It was decided early on that money would be used to spice this up a bit. £2 all in…zoiks i hear you cry…even funnier the fact we got on the putting green as children and only had to pay 90p each. I started off confident 7 under by the 9th hole…but choked under pressure macca won eventually and christerry went for the wrong hole eventually fiinding himself and saunders joint last.

big efficient macca

From here we went back to somerfield (the field of dreams, just like the cafe in neighbours…everyone has worked there) for more meat and beer. Back up to my house fired up the bbq where we sat, drank and got very merry with most of my family…

my mum and dads dog jess…brilliant

Another awesome Stoney weekend which ended with Christerry being sick because he’s a secret vegetarian and can’t handle meat. Although in his defence he did have a sausage in a bun for breakfast the next morning…fair play/ denial

my Last.fm listening habbits

I Love last.fm and I love geeky technology that goes with it. These graphs compile all your music listening habits and squirt out a pretty awesome looking graphs…everyone loves a graph. This is the full listing of everything i’ve scrobbled in 2 years…cool. Macca did it to…but mine doesn’t have nearly as much coldplay in it :) (that was a dig by the way) click here if you want a big un

SauchieHall Crawl…Macca face review

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

Me and macca headed out last night (night out on a sunday?) to the sauchiehall Crawl. A mini festival if you like. 11 bands playing over 3 venues. Nice ‘n’ sleazy, the beatclub and abc2. you could just come and go as you please. Some days my own genius amazes me. Rather than write a review on each band we each took a picture of ourselves that we thought summed up the performance. We didn’t talk about what we thought…which was harder than you think. So I will now attempt to decipher maccas face. he’s done the same with mine. Let the face review commence :)

gig 1: Ross Clark @ Nice ‘n’ sleazy

maccas…ross face

Macca quite clearly isn’t entirely happy with the situation…even after a few cheeky pints. Looks a little confused my the fact ross sounded a bit like some strange hill billy damien rice. The cheeky smile was all down to the fit fiddler bird…who turned out to be the only lady in any of the bands we seen (macca very disappointed by this fact).

gig 2: El Padre @ The beat club

Maccas…el Padres face

Macca seems to be quite happy with this one…mostly down to the fact alot of beer was consumed. There is a slight serial killer like eye thing going on with this one (only in one eye though). Mostly down to the fact el padre chose not to have a drummer but used squelchy noises from a keyboard. Macca slightly unsettled by the strange variety of haircuts and bad chat they had to offer.

gig 3: De rosa @ the beat club

maccas…de rosa face

Ooooooooo look at this one. Macca is conveying some sort of intregue here and almost a sense of smugness…almost like he has seen de rosa before and knew it would be a good one. Also i think macca was pleased with the amount of checked shirts de rosa were supporting.

gig 4: The twilight sad @ abc2

rob and maccas twilight sad faces

A joint effort here. Macca seems to be void of any emotion in this picture mostly due to the fact he was pissed.

apparently we went on and seen galachen after that…I can’t actually remember it. It didn’t even get a picture. Finally back to charing cross train station where i went west and macca went east. but not before lobbing my camera over the train tracks whilst filming thinking it would be funny only to find out it didn’t work anyway…macca only just caught it.

All in all a very funny night squeezed into a few hours. Today I feel rough mostly due to the KFC I consumed…CHICKEN SWEAT!

Ministry @ Carling Academy

thunder thunder thunder cats!

I’m not a huge fan of RAWK! but lee at work had bought a load of tickets and said “I might like it” another big squad from work went so it seemed rude not to. The band ministry, don’t know much about them…still don’t. Missed all the support which was fine as nobody knew who was on anyway. The gig was loud, as in angry loud. Not really my cup of t but I still enjoyed it. Stopping by at the glaswegian for a spot of karaoke…hilarious. Then to Barfly for the aftershow party where more RAWK bellowed.

Anyway to explain the pictuere. I am in the middle of moving house and don’t really own an outfit of such which suggests i’m a heavy rocker. A dawn of the dead t-shirt at a push. All I had left was my thundercats t-shirt so as you can imagine I got a bit of stick. Until I found Thom! I first bumped into him at the bar…Here we had a mutual hug. No-one else I was with seen him though and thought I was just making it up. Then I found him outside…genius..another hug. Thinking about it…quite easy to find 2 people in bright yellow t-shirts in a crowd of black :D
