Shot glasses make good egg cups, as do tea light holders.
But i’ve still not worked out the boiling thing - mine at the weekend were too hard, if you figure it out tell me!

tea light holders…genius. Don’t have any shot glasses either. I’m from the school of straight from the bottle….AAArrrrr.
I’m gonna have to admit defeat and google boiling an egg…a sad day indeed.

Get yourself a Tefal Toast n Egg. Pure genius; it boils your eggs and makes the toast at the same time. I use ours all the time. And when you fancy a change it’ll poach an egg instead!!!

Doesn’t solve the egg cup deficit, unfortunately. Do you have any snooker cue chalk? Alternatively, just use the carton that the eggs came in…

Makro were doing a deal on them a couple of weeks ago. Coolest thing is that it switches itself off when everything’s made which is ideal for before-work-rituals e.g. Set up T’n'E (put bread in toaster, egg in machine, switch it on), go for shower, shave, get dressed, return to T’n'E (which has done its task and then turned itself off), take out toast & put on plate, take out egg/s & put in egg cup, eat. Brilliant if you’re always running late in the mornings like me - at least you’re not passing out from hunger before lunch time
No mess, no fuss, no shitty cleaning up after it; it’s a far cry from the ’70s teasmaid

Last post on this subject. If you have any of those wee cooked sausages Tesco sell in big packs, there’s a cunning perforated shelf placed above the egg/s; place a handful of them on the shelf and the steam cooking the egg heats up the sausages at the same time! You’re now eating boiled egg and sausages before heading for work! This is almost Star Trek technology…
